To the I.P.M.S. CALIFORNIA MODEL WORKSHOP web page.
The CLUB INFO section includes information about our club, a general introduction, how to contact us, meeting schedules, directions to our location and other club-related issues. This will be updated after every meeting and will tell you details of the next one. If you live in the greater L.A. area, there is no easier club meeting to reach: we're right in the middle: a reasonable drive from anywhere between the San Fernando Valley and Central/North Orange County. Our location is absolutely safe and parking is free.
The TUTORIALS section is dedicated to the basics of scale modeling and includes some very useful how-to articles that will help beginner and intermediate modelers. It will be updated as we get more articles.
In the
ARTICLES section you will find a large selection of
building features on airplane, armor, ship, sci-fi, car, figures etc. models
from our modelers and a few friends from overseas. This will also be updated as
more features become available.
Our GALLERY section showcases models built by our members with high-quality photographs and our EXCLUSIVE VRM (Virtual Reality Model) display, an interactive video clip that allows you to rotate the image and see the model from every angle. It's really neat!!!
The REVIEWS section focuses on new products. We will give you an impartial opinion on kits, detail parts and accessories that have recently hit the model shops or that are about to. We plan to update it at least monthly.
The
NEWS section will give you the latest rumors on new
product and will provide references and/or hyperlinks to related stories.
The SHOPPING section is a guide to local shops in Southern California and other places on the internet where you can find anything you need, from kits to reference books.
Finally, the LINKS section will open you to an entire world of modeling-related websites, from IPMS clubs in the US and in the rest of the world to web-magazines, to manufacturers etc.
